The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug was a smash hit at the box office at the end of last year, and we now have some very exciting news to share with Hobbit fans eagerly waiting to get their hands on a copy of the film.
The movie, boasting an all-star ensemble cast of Ian McKellen, Martin Freeman, Richard Armitage, Benedict Cumberbatch, Evangeline Lilly, Lee Pace, Luke Evans, Stephen Fry, Ken Stott, James Nesbitt and Orlando Bloom, is set for a home entertainment release on April 7th 2014.
The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug is the second movie in The Hobbit trilogy, which has been adapted by Academy Award winner, Peter Jackson. The film centres around the ongoing quest that Bilbo Baggins, Gandalf and the Company of Dwarves find themselves on as they continue through Middle-earth in search of Smaug; a vicious dragon who has taken residence in the home of the Dwarves. This is an epic tale filled with outstanding action and special effects.
The film arrives onto Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray, DVD and digital download on 7 April from Warner Home Entertainment, and features a great selection of special effects. As with all films in The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings franchises, Jackson is very generous to the fans in his DVD extras.
